Nargaroth - Black Metal
Nargaroth is an early example of the newer wave of black metal bands who, rather than looking to the proto-black metal of the 1980s like their idols, were inspired directly by the likes of Burzum, Darkthrone and Mayhem, in place of Bathory or Hellhammer. The result is a streamlined black metal experience that, while overtly pleasant on the surface, nonetheless lacks some of the depth of early black metal music due to a poor understanding of the genre's origins, ethos and goals.
