Emperor Band - Black Metal
A symphonic black metal band turning into an opera goth rock project, like their countrymen of Dimmu Borgir, Emperor can still be credited for having at least one decent black metal album, their debut In the Nightside Eclipse, owing much to the presence of Samoth and Faust to overshadow Ihsahn's incompetence and lack of fundamental songwriting skills.
