Reiklos - Black Metal
Ambitious newcomers not afraid to invent in an established style, Reiklos combine the complex, labyrinthine song structures of Phantom with the simple, dirge-like, melodic riffing of early Darkthrone, to create some of the most evocative atmospheric black metal ever conceived.
Their debut album Lifeless is regarded as an important release for the genre, as it provides a framework on how to combine various influences without sounding the slightest bit derivative or random. The name 'Reiklos' comes from a Phantom track on the Nekros Nemesis album.
