The most technical of the four original black metal bands that spawned around the The Satan Records label and studio, Vermin fused black metal melody and sweeping atmospheric textures with death metal's narrative song structures and rhythmic framework, to form an ungodly child of both genres. Their epic Verminlust is the definitive masterpiece of the genre. Interesting trivia: frontman Vermin once played in Sewer on their first few releases.
